At Santander Asset Management, we have a great culture and we are recruiting for an ambitious, Part-Qualified Accountant to join our busy finance function. You will be solely responsible for clerical finance duties, such as Accounts Payable and Receivable, whilst supporting the Financial Controller with the production of monthly management accounts, yearly budgeting, and audits.

The difference you'll make:
  • Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring our payments process is well controlled
  • Owning the expenses process, ensuring controls and policies are suitable
  • Overseeing the bank transactions, controls and monitoring the cash levels
  • Producing regular and accurate commercial MI, with an analytical approach, ensuring accuracy and adding valuable insight
  • Producing Finance key risk indicators with accuracy and investigating any triggers
  • Supporting in the production of monthly management accounts and annual budgeting
  • Working with the Financial Controller by taking a key role in managing costs vs budgets
  • Assisting with ad hoc finance requirements for the wider business or Santander group


What you'll bring:
  • Part - Qualified Accountant, currently studying in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
  • Proficient in Excel with the confidence to work solely on finance spreadsheets, VLOOKUPs, and Pivot Tables


It would also be nice for you to have:
  • Previous experience in Financial Services would be desirable but not essential
  • An ambition to learn with the desire to strive in a face paced environment
  • Ability to prioritise work to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence to interact with all levels of seniority
